Wigan Athletic 1-1 FulhamFulham's tryst with late goals continued as they conceded yet another equalizer late in the game to drop two points against a lackluster Wigan team in their Premiership clash on Saturday. Fulham had taken an early lead through Clint Dempsey in the 11th minute and were further relieved as Fulham started the game brightly and created the first chance of the match when Hameur Bouazza raced past David Cotterill and Melchiot but his resultant shot flew just wide of the post. The hosts received a blow in the 9th minute when Heskey limped off the field following an ankle injury and was replaced by Marcus Bent. The visitors took the lead in the 11th minute when he controlled Diomansy Kamara's cross before smashing the ball past Chris Though Wigan had a fair share of the possession, they were unable to supply the final pass to their strikers as Antti Niemi spent a relatively relaxed time in the first half.
