West Ham 2-1 Fulham

West Ham bounced back from a goal down to win 2-1 against Fulham to collect all three points in their Premiership encounter on Saturday.

Fulham had taken an early lead through Simon Davies in the 8th minute but Dean Ashton equalized for West Ham in the 28th minute before Anton Ferdinand grabbed the winner in the 69th minute to leave the Cottagers still searching for an away win this season.

West Ham started the match on the attack and pressed forward at every opportunity. However it was the visitors who took a shock lead in the 8th minute when Davis, who was fouled by Spector near the edge of the area, curled in the free kick. The West Ham defense failed to clear the ball which eluded everyone before bouncing past Robert Green.

The goal seemed to rejuvenate Fulham and the visitors were enjoying an upper hand in the match before West Ham grabbed the equalizer against the run of play. Fredrik Ljungberg was have a good game on the right flank and the Swedish winger raced forward before curling the ball to Ashton who made no mistake to head home past Antti Niemi.

Ashton nearly grabbed a second minutes later when he was played in by Matthew Etherington but his shot was saved brilliantly by Niemi. The Finnish international continued to keep his side in the game, pulling off great saves to deny Ashton and Carlton Cole.

However West Ham managed to take the lead in the 59th minute when Mark Noble's cross was headed home by Ferdinand. Fulham pressed forward in search of an equalizer and even though Danny Murphy had a good chance of pulling his side level, the visitors failed to register their first away win of the season.
