Portsmouth 1-4 West HamWest Ham came from a goal down to secure a thumping 4-1 win over Portsmouth on Friday to end their four game winless streak. Portsmouth looked on course for a win after Nadir Belhadj had put them in an early lead with Peter Crouch latching on to Glen Little's cross before passing the ball for Belhadj to score from just 10 yards out. However the visitors settled down to pull level 12 minutes later through a quick free kick with Mark Noble finding Jack Collison and the defender slotting home from close range. Jermain Defoe had a great chance to restore Portsmouth's lead just before half time when the hosts were awarded a penalty after Lucas Neill had fouled Crouch in the area but the England striker completely missed the target from the spot. West Ham took full advantage of the reprieve to take the lead in the 67th minute when Carlton Cole was the first to reach Collison's shot that rebounded off the post to poke in West Ham's second goal of the game. Bellamy doubled West Ham's lead three minutes later with a brilliant individual effort that saw the Wales captain race forward from the halfway line and though David James managed to block his initial attempt, Bellamy slotted home on the second chance. The 29-year old scored his second of the game in the 83rd minute to complete the rout for the visitors.
