Nigeria 3-0 MozambiqueOdemwingie 45, 47 Martins 86 Two goals either side of half-time from Peter Odemwingie secured the Super Eagles passage into the African Nations Cup quarter-finals against a plucky but limited Mozambique. Nigeria only needed a draw but were never under serious threat of defeat. Odemwingie ended a drab first-half by firing a twenty-yard left-foot shot past Mambas keeper Rafael. He added the second two minutes into the second half with a close-range effort from Yakubu’s pass. And substitute Obafemi Martins marked his tournament debut with a left-footed third four minutes from time.
