Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham HotspurFernando Torres snatched a point for Liverpool as his injury time equalizer helped Liverpool to a hard fought 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their Premiership clash on Sunday.
Earlier Liverpool looked set to have turned around a poor run of form by taking a 12th minute lead through Andriy Voronin. However two goals in two minutes from Robbie Keane saw Tottenham turn the match on its head before Torres' goal brought parity to the score right at the death.
Rafa Benitez stuck with his rotation policy, making as many as five chances to the starting line up and though the Kops created reasonable chances, the overall performance left a lot to be desired. Robinson's horror show in the goal continued as the England keeper was at fault in Liverpool taking the lead.
Steven Gerrard stepped up to take a free kick after being fouled by Jermaine Jenas near the edge of the area. The Liverpool captain saw his shot deflect off the wall and Robinson could only parry the attempt, leaving Voronin with a simple finish on the rebound.
Liverpool went on to create a number of chances, but were unable to hit the target and Keane made them pay in the final minute of the first half when he latched on to Berbatov's flick on to slot the ball past Reina.
Keane put Spurs in the lead just a minute into the second half as he once again linked up with Berbatov to smash home an acrobatic attempt to score his second of the night. Liverpool were struggling to find their rhythm and it looked like a Spurs victory until the first minute of injury time when Torres nodded home a Finnan cross from the right with Robinson hopelessly out of position.
