Holders Egypt came from behind to win this high-quality clash of the Group C favourites.

Chinedu Obasi gave the Super Eagles a 12^th minute lead with a superb20-yard left-foot shot after a slick passing move.

But Emad Meteeb levelled on 34 minutes when he beat Nigeria’s offside trap, rounded on-rushing goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and slid the ball home.

Ahmed Hassan’s 25-yard shot on 54 minutes deflected off Taye Taiwo past a wrong-footed Enyeama to give the Pharoahs the lead, which substitute Mohamed Gedo doubled with another right-foot effort late on.
