Chelsea 2-1 MSK ZilinaSturridge 51 Bello 19 Malouda 86 Chelsea’s more experienced players came to the rescue of their youngsters to win this Champions League game against Group F’s weakest side. The Slovak champions led at half-time thanks to a well-worked goal by Babatounde Bello. But the Blues introduced Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou from the substitutes bench and they created the second-half goals that gave Chelsea five wins out of five, their best-ever start to a Champions League campaign. Zilina’s goal was a well-worked move between Bello and Robert Jez, finished off by Bello’s well-placed toe poke from the edge of the penalty area. Chelsea had started sluggishly but improved as the game wore on, with Daniel Sturridge forcing a fine save from Zilnia keeper Martin Dubravka with a curling 20-yard left-footed effort. And Sturridge drew Chelsea level six minutes after half-time, squeezing the ball past Dubravka’s ungainly dive from a Kalou cross which should really have been cleared before reaching him. The Blues struck the post twice as they piled on the pressure, with a deflected Didier Drogba free-kick and a searing 25-yard left-foot drive from attacking left-back Patrick Van Aanholt. And the winner arrived on 86 minutes, Florent Malouda stabbing home Drogba’s knock-down from Anelka’s left-wing cross.
