Chelsea 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal staged a remarkable comeback late in the second half to register a famous victory away to Chelsea and bring their title challenge back on track on Sunday.

A defeat against Chelsea would have put Arsenal 13 points behind the league leaders and Arsene Wenger's side were on the attack right from the kick off. Petr Cech pulled off a great save to deny Samir Nasri's low shot in the 13th minute before denying Cesc Fabregas.

Chelsea's first real chance fell to Nicolas Anelka but the French striker failed to hit the back of the net. The hosts finally broke the deadlock on the half hour mark when Jose Bosingwa latched on to a poor throw by keeper Manuel Almunia and Johan Djourou slid in the Chelsea full back's cross into his own net.

Robin Van Persie had another great chance at the other end but Cech was once again able to deny the visitors. The Gunners stepped up the tempo in the second half and were rewarded in controversial circumstances when Denilson found Van Persie with a great pass and though the Dutch striker was clearly in an off side position, the flag stayed down and 25-year old made no mistake from close range in the 59th minute.

The visitors raced to the lead three minutes later when Emmanuel Adebayor headed Fabregas' free kick for Van Persie who was once again on hand to complete the move and score his seventh goal of the season.
