Bolton Wanderers 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal moved to the top of the league table with yet another convincing performance in their 3-1 win over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Bolton took a shock lead in the 14th minute through Kevin Davies but Arsenal were in spectacular form as they turned the match on its head with two goals in two minutes through Emmanuel Eboue and Nicklas Bendtner while Denilson secured all three points for Arsenal with a third goal in the 87th minute.

Arsenal started the match in a cautious fashion, allowing Bolton to dominate the possession in the midfield. The hosts came close to taking an early lead when Kevin Nolan saw his shot tipped over the bar by Manuel Almunia but not had to wait long for the goal when Davies rose high to head home Andy O'Brien's corner in the 14th minute.

The visitors stepped up the pressure in search of the equalizer and were rewarded in the 26th minute when Eboue raced forward to meet Bendtner's through ball before slotting home from close range. Arsenal raced in the lead a minute later when Denilson found Bendtner with a pin point cross and the striker made no mistake from six yards out.

Nolan had a great chance to pull Bolton level in the first half but once again Almunia pulled off a brilliant save to deny the midfielder. Bolton pressed forward in the second half in search of an equalizer but though they managed to dominate the possession, they were unable to break past a stubborn Arsenal defense.

With time running out, Arsenal put the result beyond Bolton's reach when Denilson latched on to a cross from Theo Walcott before slotting it past Jaaskelainen in the 87th minute.
