Arsenal 2-2 Manchester UnitedWilliam Gallas scored in the final minute of the game to snatch a point against Manchester United as Arsenal maintained their unbeaten home record this season.
Gallas' equalizer came after the Frenchman's own goal had given United the lead seconds before half time. The hosts leveled the score three minutes into the second half through Francesc Fabregas but Cristiano Ronaldo looked to have grabbed all three points for United with a goal nine minutes from final whistle before Gallas' equalizer left both the teams sharing the points.
Arsenal dominated the possession for most of the first half but were unable to break down a stubborn United defense that was ably aided by a brilliant Owen Hargreaves. Just when it looked like both the teams would be heading into half time with no goals scored, United grabbed the lead with a swift counter attack that saw Ronaldo cross the ball to Rooney, whose shot took a deflection off Gallas and into the net to put United in front.
The Gunner came out into the second half with a quick response through a scrappy goal as Van Der Sar pulled off a great block to deny Emmanuel Adebayor. But the ball fell straight to Bacary Sagna who crossed the ball to unmarked Fabregas in front of an open net and the Spaniard made no mistake to score the equalizer.
United had a great chance of retaking the lead in the 63rd minute when Giggs crossed the ball into the net but Wayne Rooney wastefully headed the ball well wide of the target. With just nine minutes remaining, United finally got their noses in front with a great team goal that saw Louis Saha play Evra in on the left wing and the defender found Ronaldo with a perfect cross, leaving the Portuguese winger with a simple finish into an open net.
Just when it looked like United had grabbed a ninth win in a row, Gallas made amends for his earlier mistake hitting the target in a goalmouth scramble that saw United keep out 3 shots on target before William Gallas sneaked his shot over the line to leave away fans heart broken with the result.
