Angola 4-4 MaliFlavio 37, 42 Keita 79, 90 + 3 Gilberto 66 (pen) Kanoute 88 Manucho 73 (pen) Yatabare 90 + 4 Mali pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in international football history to give the 2010 African Nations Cup the most dramatic possible start. Two first-half headers from Flavio, and two second-half penalties from Gilberto and Manucho appeared to have given the Palancas Negras an unassailable lead. A 79th minute scrambled effort from Seydou Keita and Frederic Kanoute’s 88th minute header lifted the previously ineffective Malians. And, against a tiring Angola defence, Keita added his second goal and Mustapha Yatabare equalised with sixty seconds of stoppage time remaining.
