Two goals in six minutes early in the second half by strikers Flavio and Manucho sent Luanda into party mode, leaving the hosts needing a point for a place in the quarter-finals.

The Black Antelopes dominated the first half but had to wait until the 48^th minute for Flavio to head them into the lead from a wonderful Djalma cross.

Manucho doubled their advantage when he dispossessed Malawi captain Peter Mponda on the edge of the box and fired home.

Victory came at a price, however, when Flavio pulled a hamstring moments later.
