£100M+ For Top Four’ Says MoyesDespite his sides FA Cup semi-final triumph against Manchester United, Everton boss David Moyes has retained a sense of perspective as to where the clubs lie respectively in the bigger picture. ![]() Whilst another trip to London in May is a diversion many clubs would like, Moyes focus on the Premier League led him to deliver a back-down-to-earth statement for those Toffee fans who may start to get a little carried away with their weekend success. Moyes reckons that even £100M would not be enough to enable his team to break into the top four so large is the gap between them and the rest of the Premiership. Moyes said "We've been fortunate, we've been given every penny that they can give us and as you can see, if you can get the right players in and they are hungry for success which we've tried to do, then it can happen. We've got a long way to go and it will be very hard to compete against the top boys, we know that. So you could give me £100million and it might not get me any closer, who knows.” Tags: Everton, David Moyes Posted: |
