Middlesbrough were knocked out of the FA Cup by Cardiff and if they had beaten the Championship side they would have faced a trip to Wembley to play Barnsley. Young, 28 years old was upset by the way Boro played and hopes this defeat means that the players can focus on staying in the Premiership.

Middlesbrough find themselves just above the drop zone and need a good run of results to lift them away from the bottom of the table.

He has issued his team-mates with a message that they need to put the FA Cup defeat behind them and get themselves some points in the league. He said that the players, including himself need to show they are capable of staying in the league.
