Yeung takes stake in Birmingham47 year old Carson Yeung a businessman from Hong Kong has purchased shares from the directors of Birmingham football club. Yeung has now become the largest single shareholder at the club with a reported 29.9% stake. The share deal is reported to be worth almost £15 million and it is possible that a £50 million takeover of the club could be on the cards. If Yeung manages to acquire a 30% stake in the club then he will be allowed to pursue a takeover bid. Such a move would mean Birmingham is likely to join the growing ranks of private clubs with many recent takeover bids being tabled. Tags: Carson Yeung, Birmingham Posted: |
