Portugal boss Carlos Queiroz is expecting their World Cup clash with Spain to be a triumph for football as both sides will strive to play the game the right way.

After playing out a dismal goalless draw with Brazil to book their place in the last 16, Queiroz believes their tie with their Spanish counterparts will be full of skill and flair that will do the competition justice.

He said. "Spain and Portugal play a style of football that, although somewhat similar, there are a number of differences between the two teams.

"I believe it's going to be a great game of football, a game with a lot of creativity, imagination, speed and great moves. At this stage, the round of 16, I expect a great show of football."

Portugal have yet to concede a goal in the tournament so far, although they have only managed to breach North Korea’s defence at the other end.
