Wolves To Benefit From Nehad WorkWolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Nenad Milijas returned from Serbia’s World Cup campaign determined to make an impression in the Premier League. Extra running and weights sessions with fitness coach Tony Daley have helped the 27-year old sharpen up following his summer exploits with his country and it will be both player and club who benefit.
‘I started doing some extra fitness work last week after training’ he said, ’It’s hard work but it’s to my benefit and that of the team.’ Along with Marcus Hahnemann and Adlene Guedioura, Milijas was given an additional three weeks off in the summer to recover from their South African experience but the summer tournament, following on from his first Premier League season, left the player lagging behind his team-mates on his return. ‘I think the World Cup did make it difficult. It was a long season and I just had a short break during which I had a holiday and didn’t do any fitness work as I needed a rest’ said Milijas.
He is clearly pleased to be back at Molineux and enjoying his time there. ‘I’m very happy at the club and it’s up to me to show the gaffer I can get up to the required levels and can contribute to the team.’ Tags: Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nenad Milijas, Premier League, Molineux Posted: |
