West Ham 3-1 BoltonRelegation contenders West Ham put recent controversy behind them for a stunning 3-1 home win against UEFA Cup hopefuls Bolton. Carlos Tevez a man at the center of the controversy scored 2 goals in a great game for the Hammers. The first goal came after only 9 minutes as the Argentine international scored from a free kick before sidefooting the second shortly after. Tevez was also the supplier of the third goal assisting Mark Noble as he fired a volley home in a game dominated by the home side. It was a disappointing game for Bolton and a rude awakening to life as a manager for Sammy Lee. Their only goal of the game came when Gary Speed tucked home a pass from Anelka. The win made it 3 in a row for West Ham who claimed all 3 points to move out of the English Premier League relegation zone for the first time since December. The contribution of Argentinian international Carlos Tevez has been instrumental in the turn around of this club. He has repaid the club and fan’s support by giving top class performances for the side. The recent form also saw him pick up the Player of the Season award before kickoff.
