23 year old Bordeaux player Julien Faubert has been snapped up by West Ham for £6.1m. A 5 year contract sees the French international join the Upton Park side in the English Premier League. Faubert currently only has 1 international cap to his name but managed to score in his appearance back in 2006.

Faubert comes highly rated and was a target for a number of clubs across Europe during the summer period. Faubert was a regular fixture at French Ligue club Bordeaux after joining in 2004. The club have already rejected a 4m move for the player from Rangers which led to the player refusing to train with the club. Faubert joins the ranks at West Ham who will be looking to survive another season in the English Premier League. Lets hope it is a less controversial season than the 2006-07 campaign.
