Espanyol won away from home 2-1 against Werder Bremen to take the score over 2 legs to 5-1 a comfortable win over the German Bundesliga team. The win means Espanyol now progress to the UEFA Cup Final where they will join fellow La Liga team Sevilla in Glasgow on May 16^th.

Bremen who had a 3 goal deficit to make up went ahead first with a goal through Hugo Almeida. However, hope did not last long for the Bundesliga side as Miroslav Klose was dismissed for a second bookable offence for diving after only 19 minutes. Espanyol capitalized on their advantage over 10 men Bremen and equalized through Ferran Coro before Maria Lacruz secured victory with a header.
