Utd Tevez saga continues

David Gill chief executive of Premiership champions Manchester United claims the attempt to sign Carlos Tevez has become over-complicated. The Premier League is insisting that any transfer deal be done between United and West Ham effectively cutting out the players owner Kia Joorabchian.

Joorabchain currently owns the economic rights to the 23 year old Argentinian. Despite all the controversy and hold ups United remain hopeful that Tevez can undergo a medical this week when he returns from the Copa America tournament.

Carlos Tevez was part of the Argentina side in the Copa America. The tournament finished on Sunday when Argentina lost to Brazil in the final. Whether Manchester United pay West Ham or pay Joorabchain the arrival of the player in Manchester seems a formality. With an expected fee of £30m likely to change hands West Ham are still denying that the champions will become new owners of the young prodigy. Manchester United are hoping the saga will be drawn to a close within a few days. However, this seems optimistic. It is almost certain Tevez will join United but under what form remains unknown.
