Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov currently owns 14.58% of Arsenal. However, the joint owner of Red and White has expressed a desire to increase his stake in the club. Usmanov does not currently wish to takeover the Gunners. He views his stake as an investment in an undervalued club. However, given the increasing number of takeovers in the English Premier League over the last few seasons no club seems safe.

The powers that be at Arsenal insist that they have no interest in a foreign takeover of the club and that they have ample resources to progress alone. This sentiment has been echoed by current manager Arsene Wenger as he looks to do battle for another season in the English Premier League.
