USA On The March![]() The USA team will treat all their World Cup opponents with respect despite their own ambitions. That is the pledge of coach Bob Bradley. The US team heads to South Africa with a good recent tournament record but Bradley remains cautious about each one of their up-and-coming fixtures. “There has been a lot of attention on our first game with England” he said, “But we know that Slovenia and Algeria are excellent teams. It will be a tough group”. Goals from Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore saw the team claim a win in their final home friendly before travelling. Coming back from a goal behind against a decent Turkish side will boost morale ahead of their final pre-tournament game against Australia in South Africa before starting their campaign on 12th June against the English and Landon Donovan has warned their initial opponents against complacency. Donovan had a successful loan spell in England for Everton this season and the US feel that their transatlantic opposition will hold no surprises. “We know the England players well” he said, “and after out Confederations Cup last year, we feel we have a good chance to play against anyone in the world – and beat them”.
