Transfer Fun At Upton Park

West Ham United concluded a busy week in the transfer market by signing Spartak Moscow defender Radoslav Kovac.

Kovac, who has skippered Spartak and is a regular in the Czech national side, joins the Hammers until the end of the season. The 29 year-old joins a defence that has enabled Gianfranco Zola’s side to go on a run of eight unbeaten matches with Lucas Neill, Matthew Upson, Herita Llunga and James Collins having performed more miracles at the Emirates on Saturday. It is highly likely that the move will become permanent during the summer.

Meanwhile, Julien Faubert has left London to join Spanish giants Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season, again with the anticipation that the move will become permanent.
