Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has been awarded with the award of Player of the Month for February.

The Spanish striker has been in scintillating form in February and has been rewarded for his efforts and sparkling displays for Liverpool.

Torres was in fine form when Liverpool beat Middlesbrough 3-2 as he got all three goals for Liverpool. The hat-trick during this game was Torres’ first hat-trick since he made his move to the Premier League.

As well as scoring a hat-trick in February he also scored four goals in two Premier League games.

Torres is on 18 league goals for the season, just behind Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor on 19 goals and Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 21 goals.

Torres is also a contender to get on the list as being the Premier League Player of the Season.
