Tigers In Biggest Battle

Hull City enter the final throes of their first ever top flight season with everything still to play for. The early-season high fliers have seen a dramatic turn of fortune since the Christmas period and have plummeted from the top three to the bottom three in apparent freefall.

Boss Phil Brown is only too aware of just how big Hull last week and a half of the season could be. "We're standing before the most important game in Hull City's history” he told the local Hull Daily Mail, “The players are representing the hope and belief of 105 years of history and we need to find a performance that matches that. It needs to be inspired.”

"We've got two massive games left and we have to make sure that we take it to the wire."

Brown’s plans have been hampered by the news that Bernard Mendy has a hairline fracture of his big toe and will miss the remainder of the season. This means that he will not be available for the potentially crucial last game against Manchester United.
