Taylor Tackle to Be Looked At By Fifa
Martin Taylor was given a three month ban for the tackle but Fifa are looking at the incident in a bid to extend the ban further. However, Martin Taylor has revealed that the tackle was more accidental than intentional. Sepp Blatter will speak to the FA about letting him have all the documentation about the incident. Blatter has insisted that FIFA has every right to ask to see the files and they can say whether the ban given should be extended or not. The horror tackle by Taylor on Eduardo fractured his leg in two places and has been ruled out until the end of the season and will definitely miss Croatia’s Euro 2008 campaign. Eduardo has forgiven Taylor and insists it was an accident, and both Taylor and Eduardo have met up at the hospital that Eduardo has been treated at since the incident. Blatter though has other views and is intent on looking into the incident. Blatter thinks that players who go looking to injure other players should be banned for life. He thinks that any player who is attacked deliberately by another player should get a life ban. Tags: Birmingham, Martin Taylor, FA, Euro 2008, Eduardo Posted: |
