Two minutes later it became 3-0 when Mellberg placed a shot in the bottom corner of the net after reaching a cross from Niclas Alexandersson.

Sweden added another a minute later with Allback reacted first following a penalty claim confusion in the box to fire the ball into the net.

The win sees Sweden move to the top of the group table level on points with Spain. However Sweden can increase the lead by 3 points if UEFA's disciplinary committee decides to award them the abandoned match against Denmark. Sweden v Iceland finished a whopping 5-0.
