Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has continued the spending at his new club. 2 new additions have been added to the squad – both defenders. 21 year old Vedran Corluka has arrived from Dinamo Zagreb who is also a Croatian international player. Corluka arrives for an undisclosed fee but it is expected to be around £7 million. Spaniard Javier Garrido also joins the list following Real Sociedad’s relegation from the Spanish La Liga.

Sven has now added 6 new signings to the Man City squad in his short time there. With the backing of new club owner Thaksin Shinawatra he is moving quickly to strengthen his team ahead of the 07-08 Premiership season. 2 more signings are expected to be unveiled shortly. It has been reported that Fiorentina striker Bojinov with join his Bulgarian countryman Petrov at City. Also the target of media speculation is a move for midfielder Elano from Shaktar Donetsk.
