Sunderland have now completed the signing of 22 year old England and Manchester United midfielder Kieran Richardson. The transfer fee is undisclosed but is expected to be in the region of £5.5 million. Richardson becomes the fourth summer signing for Sunderland manager Roy Keane as he looks to build a team that will survive the challenge of the English Premier League. Richardson has signed a 4 year contract and is said to be looking forward to playing under Keane.

Kieran already has 8 caps for England and is a bright young player. He could make his debut as early as Wednesday when Sunderland face Darlington in a pre season friendly.
