Steve Gerrard has played more than 350 games over twelve years for Liverpool since his debut in 1998. Gerrard’s all round ability have won admirers throughout the game. He is one of the best attacking midfield players in the world on his day and his ability to score and create goals from almost nothing. His first England goal came in the famous 5-1 win in Munich during the 2002 World Cup qualifying campaign, one of sixteen for his country. He has grabbed 80 for Liverpool with one of the most crucial coming in the 2005 UEFA Champions League final which the Reds won after coming back from 3-0 down.

With Liverpool, Gerrard has won the English FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield along with the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. Only the English Premier League title, and success with England, will eclipse his achievements to date. Given his record and abilities, who would bet against him?
