Tottenham followed the trend this week when they announced their financial results for the year. Following on from other Premiership sides the club announced new record results. Spurs put the record results down to their partnership with Mansion and Puma but also because of the development work by Martin Jol over the last 2 seasons.

Martin Jol led the side into Europe and a total of 21 cup ties last season boosting gate revenue and rights. Despite Martin Jol’s previous success at the club he is now under great pressure to lift the club out of the doldrums. His position was undermined earlier in the season when Spurs officials met Juande Ramos manager of Sevilla and were also said to be in contact with Jose Mourinho following his departure from Chelsea.
