Sergio Ramos’ Madrid Future In DoubtSergio Ramos has caused major controversy in Spain this week after revealing he is unhappy at the club, sparking fresh rumours of a possible move out of the Santiago Bernanbeu. ![]()
Ramos criticised Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster’s tactics, which the right-back believes make him work twice as hard as he has to fulfil two roles; right-back and as an attacking winger.
The 22-year-old was then dropped for Real Madrid’s weekend fixture against Athletic Bilbao, though Schuster insists that Ramos was not dropped as a form as punishment.
Reports in Spain now suggest that Ramos has placed his future in doubt at the club after angering directors at the Bernabeu. Ramos was believed to be promised a life contract at Los Blancos, similar to deals offered to players like Raul and Iker Casillas. However, it appears that the deal could now be off after the defenders outburst.
Numerous top European clubs like AC Milan are rumoured to have expressed interest in the Spanish star. Reports even suggest that Ramos’ agent and brother Rene Ramos held emergency talks with officials at Madrid to decide a possible move out of the club.
Whatever the situation at Real Madrid, tensions seem to have loosen at the club after board members and Schuster both told press that they have held talks with the player and forgiven the defender.
