Serbia U21 2-0 Belgium U21

Serbia continued to impress in the tournament with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Belgium in the semifinal match at the Gelredome stadium to advance into the final of the European Under 21 Championship to be played on Saturday.

Belgium started the match on an attacking note and very nearly took the lead in the opening minute when Marouane Fellaini had a great chance to score from close range, but was unable to convert a low cross from Tom De Mul.

The Belgian side was made to pay three minutes later when Aleksandar Kolarov converted a free kick, curling past keeper Logan Bailly and clipping the post on its way into the net. Belgium struggled to muster up a response following the goal and were limited to shooting from long range, with Anthony Vanden Borre coming close from one such effort.

Serbia came out into the second half looking to kill off the game with a second goal and very nearly found it when Milovanovic tried to break clear, only for Jonathan Blondel to come to his side's rescue with a last ditch tackle.

Blondel had a chance to score at the other end, but his low dipping shot was flipped over by keeper Kahriman. Belgium started to press forward for the equalizer and should have got it just at 61st minute when Fellaini was unable to beat Kahriman after being sent clear by a delightful pass from Faris Haroun.

Minutes later, Fellaini had another great chance to score when his header went wide of the far post where he was unmarked. Serbia managed to hold out under pressure and killed off the game with just 3 minutes left when substitute Mrdja slid home a flicked header from Milovanovic to put the game beyond Belgium's reach.
