History

Road to 2010 World Cup

Serbia were tipped to finish second in their qualification group but six wins from their first seven games saw Radomir Antic’s side pull clear of France at the top of the table and in spite of a loss of form in their final three games, Serbia ended their qualification campaign at the top of the table and qualified automatically to the World Cup.

Key Players

The Serbian squad is filled with a number of star players who are plying their trade at some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Captain Dejan Stankovic and Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic will be key for Serbian hopes of qualifying out of their group while Zoran Tosic will be hopeful of taking his form on to the international trade after impressing for Koln this season.
