Bernd Shuster has been confirmed by Real Madrid as their new coach. Fabio Capello was sacked as Real Madrid manager a short while back after concerns regarding his management of players and type of play.

The Spanish La Liga champions have now announced the appointment officially on their website. Shuster is a former Madrid and Germany midfielder and was a renowned player in his time. He will be unveiled in a press conference shortly. Shuster was previously manager of Getafe where he spent 2 years in charge. He has significant managerial experience but with mixed results. Shuster will look to continue the success of the Galacticos during the 2007-08 season.
