Kasper Schmeichel has signed a new contract with Manchester City. The young star has not missed a game so far this season under Sven Goran Eriksson. The Danish international has now agreed a 4 year contract with the club. Schmeichel initially got his chance due to injuries sustained by Andreas Isaksson and Joe Hart. However, his form has seen him retain his place in the first team. The player stated:

 "Everything's gone well this season, so to get this sorted out as well is really pleasing," said Schmeichel.
