Sbragia Keen To Keep Sunderland Strike Force

Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia has issued a ’hands-off’ warning to Spurs who have reportedly offered £15M for striker Kenwyne Jones.

The 24 year-old Trinidad and Tobago international worked with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp at Southampton and has progressed well since his £6M move to the Stadium Of Light in 2007. Clearly, the recent good form and blossoming partnership up front with Djibril Cisse has firmed up the interest of the former Portsmouth manager but Sbragia has no intentijon of letting it go any further. “There’s no way I’m selling my best players” said Roy Keane’s successor “Kenwyne will not be going anywhere”.

Djibril Cisse gave the Black Cats a boost by stating that he would love to earn a permanent move following his extended loan from Marseille. Having recently opened up a clothing shop in Newcastle, the former Liverpool man has settled in well in the north east and is obviously happy with his lot saying “I want to stay - I’m good here”.

Whether Jones and Cisse will form the Sunderland front line at the beginning of next season is yet to be decided. Ricky Sbragia must hope that they will.
