Sam Starts The Ewood Rebuilding

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has signed 19 year-old striker Nick Blackman on a two and a half year deal from Macclesfield Town.

Blackman spent a previous period at Rovers on a trial basis and clearly impressed sufficiently to earn himself a permanent deal. He represents Allardyce’s first transfer window signing.

Ivory Coast defender Marco Zoro has also arrived in Lancashire on trial from Benfica whilst Rovers are reportedly closing in on a loan deal for France and Marseille defender Gael Givet.

However, one player who won’t be joining Blackburn is South Korea international Lee Keun-ho. The forward has turned down the chance of a trial saying that it is “flattering to know my services are wanted elsewhere” but that he needs to continue his development by playing regularly and not spending time on the bench.
