Saha Completes Switch To ToffeesFrench striker Louis Saha has completed a deadline day transfer to Everton for an undisclosed fee. The 30 year old leaves Manchester United having dropped down the pecking order behind the likes of Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney. Saha has suffered persistent injuries over the last few seasons and his move to Goodison Park offers a chance for him to get regularly first team football.
Saha joined Manchester United in 2004 after a successful spell at Fulham. He made an immediate impact at Old Trafford when he scored the winner on his debut against Southampton. However in recent seasons he has struggled to maintain his fitness with persistent niggling injuries preventing him from getting a run in the team. Despite his fitness problems, Saha leaves United having scored 28 goals in 86 appearances for the club.
On his arrival at Goodison Park, Saha said "I think it was the right time for me and the club so I made the decision to join Everton…I think when you get to 30 years old you have got a decision to make and I think it was the best one to do and choose the right club”.
