Roy Demands Quality

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson expects a much improved performance from his side second time around when they take on Swansea City in the replay of their FA Cup 5th round tie.

“A jaded performance” was how Hodgson described his teams display. With a mouth-watering quarter-final match-up against Manchester United as the prize, the Cottagers will need to overcome the Welsh underdogs in London and that won’t be as easy as it sounds.

Meanwhile, Fulham are rumoured to be following the form of Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo. The 23 year-old former Real Madrid reserve player is still subject to a buy-back clause in favour of Los Galacticos but a failure to utilise the option may pave the way for a tempting offer to play Premiership football in the capital. It is clearly a prospect that interests Negredo. "To play in the Premier League is not easy but, today, there are many Spaniards over there and this is opening the door for others“ he said, “if a big offer comes I don't believe that it would be a problem to close the deal“.
