Rochemback is not sure of his Middlesbrough future yet and is current contract at The Riverside is due to expire at the end of the season. Middlesbrough do have a chance to take up a two year deal on Rochemback’s contract, but must take up the option by 1^st May.

The Brazilian’s agent said that he has spent time talking to a number of clubs in Brazil, Portugal and Spain.

Rochemback’s old club Sporting are firm favorites to sign him should he leave Boro. Boro can extend his contract without Rochemback’s permission but there has been no news regarding his deal yet.

Rochemback said that he has not heard from Boro regarding his contract, but is keeping his options open.

Sporting Lisbon seem to be lining up a move for the defender and the management at Sporting want to sign him.
