Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portuguese international team-mate Pepe has stoked the embers by re-stating that it is the dream of both Ronaldo and his mother to see him play in a Real Madrid shirt.

 

During a long drawn-out battle in the summer, United held onto their man despite Real appearing to conduct a transfer war for the player through the press. However, Pepe is convinced that Ronaldo will soon join him at the Bernabau. "Cristiano Ronaldo's mother has a dream; to see her son playing for Real Madrid," said the centre-back. "It is well known that mothers have a lot of influence!.”

All had been quiet on the Ronaldo transfer front for a while but with the closure of the January transfer window, it may be time once again for the Spanish giants to start wrenching up the heat on Manchester United in preparation for what could be a Kaka-esq. bid come the summer.
