Group C underdogs Romania suffered a huge blow when key player Mirel Radoi was ruled out of Euro 2008. Radoi, 27, was injured in a collision with team mate Razvan Rat in Romania's 1-1 draw against world champions Italy. While Rat recovered to play on, Radoi had to be stretchered ,and was replaced by Nicolae Dica. Radoi had a broken nose, and will also require eye surgery. Radoi, who plays for Steaua Bucharest, was an important part of Victor Piturca's midfield.  

Romania face the Netherlands in their final group game on Tuesday. The Tricolorii have two points from two games after draws against France and Italy, and should they beat the Dutch, they will qualify for the knockout stages, where Spain are likely to face them. They will fancy their chances, having beaten Marco Van Basten's side in qualifying.
