Pulis Quiet Over ContractStoke City boss Tony Pulis would not be drawn on speculation surrounding his position. ![]() The Potters boss has guided City to the Premiership safety zone and has defied all expectations in allowing Stoke fans to dream of a second season of top flight football. However, rumours that his success will be rewarded with a new deal were met by a muted response. "I haven't sat down with Peter to talk fully about next season, never mind talk about any three-year contract," Pulis said "I'm on a rolling contract as things stand and I'm quite happy with that arrangement. It suits me and seems to suit Peter that way. I have the best chairman in the world, so I don't have to be looking over my shoulder at my contract situation all the time." Chairman Peter Coates is looking to progress during next season and is targeting achieving safety at a much earlier stage. He expressed his delight with the squad and manager Pulis but has no intentions of wallowing in success. "It has been a big learning curve and I am sure they will know a lot more. The experience will stand us in good stead hopefully and we've got to push on and get a bit better." Tags: Stoke City, Tony Pulis, Premiership Posted: |
