Pulis Concern Over Fuller Fitness
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis will make a last minute decision on striker Ricardo Fuller’s fitness before deciding whether to risk him in the game against Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend.
Fuller has proved to be an able forward for the newly promoted club this season with three goals from seven appearances. However, Pulis is wary of playing him immediately after the forward returns from international duty with Jamaica.
He said “We've had problems when he's been away before. The last time he came back from international duty he had picked up a virus and it took him a couple of weeks to get going again”.
Stoke will be looking to heap further pressure on Tottenham manager Juande Ramos whose side has endured a miserable start to the season.
However, Pulis expects a tough encounter. He said “I know people will say it is a good time to play them when they are down, but they've got a fantastic squad of players and we are under no illusions”.
