Pacos Ferreira closed to within a point in fourth following a 2-0 Vitoria Setubal with Rondon and Filipe Anunciacao scoring either side of half time. They overtook Guimaraes who lost at home to Academica. Eder gave the visitors the lead on the hour and Laionel sealed the win in the last minute. Portimonense clinched what could be a vital 1-0 win at Beira Mar with Ricardo Pessoa scoring from the penalty spot on 62 minutes. They closed on Naval who were held at home by Braga in a 0-0 draw. In the weekends other game, Rio Ave beat Uniao Leiria by a single Joao Tomas goal in the ninth minute.
