Peru v BoliviaPeru will be looking to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat against hosts Venezuela when they meet Bolivia in the final match of the Copa America group stage on Tuesday.
Any of the four teams in the group stand a chance of qualifying for the next round. Peru will be hoping for a performance similar to the first match where it pulled off a shock defeat against Uruguay.
Goals from Villalta, Mariño and Guerrero were enough for the Peruvians to pull off an unlikely victory over pre-tournament favorites. However they were unable to perform at a similar level against hosts Venezuela and succumbed to a 2-0 defeat, giving Venezuela its first Copa America win in over 40 years.
Meanwhile Bolivia will be searching for its first victory of the campaign, having drawn against Venezuela in its first match and losing to Uruguay in the second. Bolivia twice drew level with Venezuela in the first match, with the last goal coming just six minutes from time.
However a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Uruguay on Saturday meant that Bolivia will have to defeat Peru and hope for a favorable result in the match between Venezuela and Uruguay. The match will be played on Tuesday in Mérida city. Tags: Peru, Bolivia, Copa America Posted: |
