Pearce Job Under Discussion

The Football Association meets this weekend to decide whether England Under 21 manager Stuart Pearce will adapt his role to a full time basis following the recent success in the European Championships. Pearce guided the team to the semi finals of the Euro 2007 tournament and is favourite for the new position.

Stuart Pearce was appointed by the Football Association back in January prior to losing his job with Manchester City. Now Pearce has fewer commitments it will be established whether the Under 21 position should become full time. The long term plan is that the manager of the national side will play a central role in youth development within the country and also that Ray Clemence will cater to younger age groups.
