Pavlyuchenko Set To Miss Several WeeksUnder pressure Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has been dealt further disappointment with the news that new striker Roman Pavlyuchenko will be unavailable for the next few weeks.
The 26 year old suffered an injury in the first half of Spur’s recent home defeat to Hull City. He was replaced by Darren Bent who now will be given the main responsibility of getting the goals for Ramos’ struggling team. Pavlyuchenko has since discovered that he has partially damaged ligaments in his ankle, although it is not thought to be too serious nor require surgery.
Pavlyuchenko joined Tottenham at the end of the summer transfer window, but so far he has failed to settle in a team that surprisingly finds itself at the bottom of the table. The former Spartak Moscow player has yet to score in the Premier League.
He is expected to miss key games against Stoke City, Bolton Wanderers and Arsenal.
